Netflow Mediation Suite

The collection of usage data from distributed NetFlow* enabled network elements is a key issue for IP mediation and billing applications.

The NetFlow Mediation Suite is targeted at carriers and ISVs who are willing to enhance their IP mediation infrastructure with a flexible, scalable and efficient IP usage data acquisition system.


	Architecture		Specific Mediation Collectors software components gather Netflow records through the network. A mediation server hosts up to 5 collector components. The mediation server physical location should be either close to the Netflow record producer or connected with a high bandwidth reliable network such as ATM links. Collects the Netflow record from Netflow compliant routers and network devices Exchanges between routers and the local collection nodes are performed as a continuous stream on a UDP/IP link. ScalAgent Collector technology within the mediation ensures 90000 Netflow records per second without losses and more according to hardware and network configuration.
