Netflow Mediation Suite

The collection of usage data from distributed NetFlow* enabled network elements is a key issue for IP mediation and billing applications.

The NetFlow Mediation Suite is targeted at carriers and ISVs who are willing to enhance their IP mediation infrastructure with a flexible, scalable and efficient IP usage data acquisition system.


	Architecture		Specific mediation software components are in charge of processing the Netflow records and enrich data before passing the pertinent information to upper layer application such as billing. Mediation components perform filtering, aggregation, transformation, enrichment and correlation of NetFlow records for various usages. Besides treatments intended for billing, this set of operations can also be used to produce indicators for real-time supervision and control of the networked infrastructure. Reduction factors on rough data can gain up to 5000 according to data sampling and the tuning of the solution. The mediation components in charge of data tranformation can be hosted on various mediation servers, thus enabling parallel and distributed processing seamlessly.
